Martínez Somalo Opens Its Doors to ESDIR Packaging Master’s Students
28 October, 2026.On 14 October, we welcomed students and faculty from ESDIR’s Master’s Degree in Comprehensive Packaging Design for the Food and Wine Industry to our facilities in Baños de Río Tobía.
Accompanied by Pepe Martínez Somalo, they visited our modern ham production facility. Elena Martínez Somalo then guided them through the original cured-meat factory, sharing the history of La Gloria Riojana and the evolution of our brands and packaging.
The visit concluded at El Abrazo, a sculpture by Félix Reyes that celebrates our 125-year history and pays tribute to our family roots.
