The Management of HIJO DE JOSÉ MARTÍNEZ SOMALO, S.L., considers that Food Safety, Quality and Social and Environmental Responsibility are fundamental pillars of the organization, essential for the success of an agri-food company, without forgetting the family spirit that permeates all levels of the company and whose structure must be compatible with commitment, evolution, productivity and adaptation to changes in the market and society. For this reason, this CORPORATE SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY POLICY is approved, as well as the following:
1.- GENERAL COMMITMENTS:
• Integrate all departments of the company, achieving the active participation of all staff, with the fundamental idea that FOOD SAFETY, QUALITY and SOCIAL commitment and with the ENVIRONMENT are everyone’s responsibility.
• Comply with the legal and regulatory REGULATIONS of the product and its manufacturing requirements, environmental legislation, as well as the needs demanded by customers or interested parties.
• CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT by applying the BRC, IFS and ISO 14.001 Reference Standards, providing the greatest satisfaction to the CUSTOMER and the best efficiency in our processes.
• Maintain a multidisciplinary team that promotes continuous improvement in FOOD SAFETY CULTURE and focused on producing SAFE and AUTHENTIC food for consumption.
• Work with integrity, transparency, prevent and prohibit bribery of all staff and organizations or collaborators who act for the company or on its behalf, both nationally and internationally.
• Motivate PEOPLE in the organization and provide appropriate training for each job. Take the necessary actions to avoid any type of discrimination based on race, age, sex, ideology, religion and nationality or any other personal or physical condition. Promote collaboration and teamwork and equal treatment between men and women. Promote the right to privacy and protection of personal data. • Maintain the GENDER EQUALITY POLICY, set out in the Equality Plan, under the commitment to recognize the need to promote and practice gender equality, respecting human dignity and defending the rights of the person with inclusive and transversal actions; promote social responsibility, aimed at promoting actions of equality between men and women, promoting the professional development of people; and prevent, address and sanction any type of discriminatory or violent behavior according to the legislation and what is included in the protocol against sexual harassment or harassment based on sex.
• Create a safe and healthy work environment that benefits all the organization’s staff and other interested parties with the aim of preventing accidents and occupational diseases in compliance with applicable regulations and legislation. Allow the reconciliation of family and work life.
• Selection of SUPPLIERS and subcontractors: definition of the basic principles that both service and product providers must comply with. Our suppliers are responsible for ensuring that their staff has the right to work, with their employment relationship based on national legislation, recognizing, among other rights, freedom of association and non-discrimination or workplace harassment. They are also responsible for protecting the environment by complying with all laws and regulations that apply to them.
• Responsibility with the ENVIRONMENT: prevent pollution from its source, control and minimize negative impacts on the environment and implement more efficient processes that reduce our Carbon Footprint and are aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) that affect us within the framework of compliance with applicable environmental legislation.
• Apply the defined measures to preserve the confidentiality, integrity and availability of information by protecting the information, equipment and technological services used in all processes.
